This stop motion music video, created by Dropbear, aka Jonanthan Chong, for the Melbourne indie-folk band Hudson, is made almost entirely from colored pencils! Not only is the song, ‘Against The Grain’, great but the video is really amazing.
The latest print in the Editions of 100 project, the brain-child of Glasgow based design firm BERG, is Kompakt-Kassette by Daniel Freytag. The beautifully simple graphic representation of the bygone music medium, the cassette, is hand-pulled in silver ink on Plike 240gsm Matt Black fine art paper and is also hand-numbered. You can pick it up on the Editions of 100 website for £23, around $45.
I’m really loving this iVictrola dock by Made-Craft. The iPhone & iPad models will be on limited sale, for $985, through DWR in November but they can also be bought through Made-Craft’s Etsy page. The merging of the digital device and a vintage Magnavox phonograph horn creates a one of kind dock that uses passive amplification to shoot your audio around the room. The bases are hand crafted from beautiful pieces of American Walnut.
These Chromatic RPM Prints by Paul Octavious are really stunning. The photographs are are all taken from Paul’s Grandfather’s record collection and are available in limited editions, signed and numbered, for $50 for a 10″x15″ or $100 for a 16″x24″.
Another brilliant poster by the guys at Red Hook, Brooklyn based Pop Chart Lab, The Periodic Table of Heavy Metals lays out the music scene into genres and includes every band from AC/DC to Zyklon. The first edition is limited to 1000 hand signed and numbered and is available right now over on the Pop Chart Lab website for only $25.00,
Check out this awesome bespoke sound console by designer Francois Chambard, principle at Brooklyn based UM Project, for sound engineer and producer Allen Farmelo. The mid-century modern console it built to be completely broken down for moving and blends steel and wood in perfect harmony.
“Francois has the challenge bringing industrial steel and wood together, and I have the challenge of bringing a software arpeggio and a string quartet together. We have to both highlight those differences and blend them together in a way that works.”
I really love this glow- in the dark Grace Potter & The Nocturnals poster by Baltimore, MD based designers and printers Tone Ink. The 20″ x 30″ four color screenprint was produced in a limited number and is on sale now for only $40.00!
The Synthesis poster series by Barcelona based designer Dorian is a collection based on the synthesizers that helped to inspire & influence music in the recent decade. The posters are based on the Minimoog, Roland JP 8000, ARP 2500 and the Yamaha PSS 680, all of which were pivotal music making machines.
Ensemble, The Style of Music posters by Glenn Michael are amazingly funny and creative. Designer Glenn Michael charts the different styles of music through the outfits the respective stars wear. The posters were designed by Glenn Michael of Moxy Creative House, and illustrated by James Alexander.

Check out this amazing set designed by CASTE for Ryan Dahle’s Shutdown music video. Its made entirely from cut paper!! I can only imagine how may paper cuts and slipped Exacto blade mishaps there were in the making of this.
