Home08 is a tiny but beautiful apartment in Amsterdam designed by i29 Interior Architects. Due to its small size, i29 decided to build two wall units that house all of the equipment and storage. The dining area features a sleek built in fireplace, that extends out and becomes a bench seat for one side of the dining table.
This small apartment in Amsterdam, NL (45 m2) is completely renovated because of foundation repair. In it’s new layout all the functions of the house are placed in two wall units. Entrance hall, wardrobe and kitchen equipment are hidden behind a pinewood wall. On the opposite a second wooden wall of the same material is placed. This wall integrated a bench, fireplace and storage. Floor, ceiling and walls are all white. A custom designed table and bench, together with the fireplace are anthracite gray. The simplicity of the design and choice of materials give this apartment lots of space within the limited area.
Norwegian company Concrete Wall offers wallpaper recreating the effect of raw concrete. High resolution photos by Norwegian photographer Tom Haga are printed on washable and UV-resistant vinyl that can be applied with regular wall glue. More info at concretewall.no.
A single roll of wallpaper measures 62 cm or 124 cm, and up to 25 m high. The material is easy to cut into the desired size, and can be tiled together.
UP recently released the Dune wall tile. The 3D wall tile is available in 3 different materials, wood, ceramic, and concrete and are all produced using natural pigments or soya based finishes. The tiles come in a wide variety of colors or they can be painted to match the color scheme of the project. The tiles can be arranged to create 3 different patterns or can be placed randomly. You can also mix and match materials.
I don’t usually get excited about things like pillows, but today, for some reason, I am. These pillows by Annily Green are pretty awesome. They are all made with a mix of vintage fabrics, new, and recycled fabrics. The stitch work them seems to be of the highest quality and her color sense is impeccable.The pillows are available in her Etsy store, AnnilyGreen, and range in price from $18.00 to $24.00. Shes also got some great framed prints on fabric.
