Jason Dean’s newest creation is brilliantly funny and clever. Day and Night is a new limited edition hand-pulled 9-color print by designer Jason Dean of The Best Part that has two additional layers of phosphorescent inks. The poster changes as day fades away and the hidden image appears, the glow-in-the-dark inks revealing the seedy under belly of Deans imagination. We missed our chance to own this amazing print, all 60 copies of the edition are sold out but you can bet I’ll be waiting for the next installment.
Friends With Benefits is a collaborative printmaking project run by Baltimore based illustrator and printer Erin Wallace. In their first edition, Piles, seven different artists contributed artwork that was then beautifully letterpress printed in two colors by Erin onto 5″x 7″ cards.
The seven artists are, Andrew Neyer, Sam Alden, Jen Mussari, John Chae, Jordan Bernier, Alyssa Nassner and Luke Pearson. Each collection will be printed in a limited edition of 100 sets and sold for $65.00 on the Friends With Benefits website.

I’m a big fan of my two Monster Friends prints from Family Tree and this new series Fauna Friends has my wallet pleading with me again. 4 awesome prints by illustrators Alex Pearson, Jeff Kandefer, Andy Young, & Julian Baker.

These plates totally just made my day. The Royal Plateful by Owen Davey is a series of plates, commissioned by Orange: The Feed to commemorate the more mundane things in life. The project, a response to the over-coverage of the Royal Weeding, is made of 33 plates that celebrate the small victories in random people’s lives.
The idea was to get people to tweet their victories and the best ones would be illustrated, made into commemorative plates and sent to the sender of the tweet! 33 plates in all were produced and sent, you can view the full gallery on Owen’s blog.

Put a bird on it! Who doesn’t love awesome letterpress coasters with birds on them, specially when they are as beautiful as the Ornithology Coasters printed by the talented Studio On Fire for New Found Original, a new online shop of carefully selected graphic products. Artists and designer Ryan Todd came up these beautiful and funny bird illustrations for New Found Original’s introductory collaboration.
