The identity & collateral by Wink Design Atelier for Sojourn, a lifestyle and furnishing store in Sawyer, Michigan, mixes the store’s aesthetics together with the surrounding style of the small beach community. A simple blind emboss of the logo is letterpressed into book board, a materiel rarely seen uncovered and accented with black printed text and colored edges.

The identity for the fake coffee shop, Coffee Co-Op, was designed by Louisiana Tech University Masters student Jake Dugard as a class project. The simple type and warm tones bring a feeling of nostalgia, harking back to a time when a cup of coffee was just that, no added crap.
Usually when I shop for wine, I stay safe and pick the wines I know, but this eye-catching branding for Urban Wineworks, by Dallas, Texas based Foundry Collective, would definitely pull me into buying. The bright, bold type & pattern of this label strays from the typical “french looking” copy labels or yet worse, funny animal labels and includes additional information, like pairings, that most people are clueless about.
Now if only I didn’t live in Pennsylvania, a state with draconian state-store laws.
Beautiful identity program by designer Adam Hill for Mad Brew Productions, a live music events company that was looking to expand their offerings into photography, music videos and interiors. Hill: “The aesthetic of a traveling Victorian salesman and the concept of one entity ‘wearing many hats’ was used to neatly package the three brands together.”
Really playful and fun identity and collateral for written communications firm Bang Your Own Drum by the talented people at The Consult. I really love the business card with built in drum!
