The Folded “A” vases by designer Romi Hefetz of Romi Ceramics started their lives as beautifully folded sheets of paper. The paper forms were then translated into elegant pure white porcelain, retaining the intricate qualities of the folded paper. Each vase is hand made by Romi and are available through her Etsy store, RomiCeramics or on the SuperMarket website. The rest of her work is definitely worth a look as well.

I love the clean lines and bulging form of the beautiful Laptop Stand by Lesha Galkin for Dupludo Creative. The stand is built from pieced together wood remnants and features a shape that is both pleasant & sturdy in the lap, and works perfectly on the desk.
The Ark fruit vessel by designer Andrew Aloisio is an elegant solution to holding fruit.
I love the simple nature of the ELM Clamp from the talented LayerXLayer. Its hand made from 100% sustainably forested poplar, and comes unfinished. The little “branches” are unglued so that you can take them out an re-arrange them to you liking. The ELM Clamp is the perfect little organizer for a busy desk, or even a great place to hang a coat.
Available on the LayerXLayer Supermarket Shop for a cool $75.00
I really love the new Brooklyn Collection from Watermark Designs. The collection uses the standpipe shutoff valves iconic of New York as inspiration for a new line of bathroom fittings. The collection is available in chrome or grey/black satin.
When you think of quilts you usually picture the ones your grandmother had at the foot of her bed. Quilt design hasn’t changed much since the traditional patterns and colors of antique quilts. CarsonToo has single-handedley changed my perception of quilts. Their updated design, color pallet and overall look is more fitting in today’s modern and eclectic homes.
The KAMI Collection crafted by Takahasi Kougei is everything but ordinary. The simple forms of the cup and the mug are reminiscent of traditional forms but are rendered in beautiful Castor Aralia wood with a food-safe polyurethane coating inside. Both items come in two sizes. The cups are designed by Oji Masanori and are available for purchase from Analog Life.
Joy Deangdeelert Cho, who may be better known to you by her blog & design studio name Oh Joy, has released a wallpaper collection for Hygge & West. The fantastic collection features 3 patterns, Stones Throw, Petal Pusher, and Lovely Leaves, each includes multiple colorways. I’ve always loved Joy’s design work and her online musings, but this collection has me blown away.
