Type Love: Metric by Klim Type Foundry
Metric, a typeface designed by Klim Type Foundry and developed together with a typeface named Calibre, is geometric humanist sans serif typeface that gets its inspiration from West Berlin street signs. The development of Metric was based on two ideas: 1:”engineered geometry” and its signage applications (designed for enhanced readability) and 2: the availability of alternate letterforms with in the typeface.
Metric achieves both of these concepts with its large, bold letterforms and crisp, clear terminations making it a perfect typeface wherever readability is an issue.
