Flat Table Peeled by Jo Nagasaka

Flat Table Peeled by Japanese designer Jo Nagasake, of Schemata Architecture Office, is a modern interpretation of the traditional Hassoku Dai, a low table with 8 legs and a lacquered top. Nagasaka’s modern design uses translucent epoxy resin in bright neon colors to fill in the irregularities of the rough sawn tops. The effect is beautiful and vibrant, creating a perfect surface from an imperfect board. The tables were show at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during this years Milan Design Week.
