Linear Empire is a beautiful series of paintings by Mount Vernon, WA based artist Mary Iverson. The paintings depict landscapes with vibrant color blocks & geometric lines superimposed, contrasting the random nature of the vistas with hard geometry.
I just saw this post although it was posted in February! I used to work with Mary at the Seattle Art Museum a long time ago! Juxtapoz did an article about Mary not that long ago too and I’m so happy to see her getting the recognition she deserves.
