Rainbow House by Ab Rogers Design w/ DA.Studio
The Rainbow House, in London, was completed in 2009 and designed was designed by Ab Rogers Design in collaboration with DA.Studio. The house’s vibrant colors and wild patterns can be seen on almost every surface and has a slide that goes from the second floor master bedroom into the living room. The living room itself is a wonder, it’s completely covered in cushions and has a center area on a pneumatic lift that raises to create a seating pit or an elevated play area.
The most amazing detail of all is the rainbow colored spiral staircase that winds through all 3 floors. The bespoke steel and fiberglass staircase progresses through the colors of the rainbow. At each level, the color of the staircase influences the color pallet, creating a visual rhythm that moves vertically through the house.
