The Urban Seat & Table by Damien Gires
The Urban Seat & Table by Damien Gires are designed to let pedestrians slow down and enjoy the scenery. When we think of urban furniture we usually picture the basic park bench (with or without the bum sleeping on it) and some sort of solid cast concrete “something.” Damien has updated the concept and allowed the furniture to be deployed easily during events or where extra seating is necessary. The table and chair attach to existing infrastructure without the need for tools and complex hardware and are made from laser cut, break folded and powder-coated steel. Damien placed the furniture around Paris during the 2009 Designer’s Days Festival.
